While the big guns are playing at E3, lets give some appreciation to that underrated mammal, the independent game developer. Surviving on wit, instinct, and a diet of caffeine and pizza, there is some great stuff out there, if you have a look beyond the multi-million glitz and glamour. Sure, youre not going to get ducks falling into a tub of water, or the bouncing breasts of the DOA girls, or even a handheld console the size of a wasp. You will get a look at some cracking games, though.

Clash'n'Slash is amazing!It's as if you mixed Asteroids with Missile Command. A very intense shoot'em up that's completely addictive. I just blew through the 30-minute trial as if no time passed. Incredible game. Definitely going to buy it for my home computer. Add your comments
